The bill that would allow employees to leave their firearms locked in their car on company property failed to get a vote in the Georgia Senate yesterday, meaning the bill is likely dead for the year.
But in Florida, a similar bill passed the Senate Criminal Justice Committee by a 7-1 vote. Similar legislation is also progressing through the Texas legislature.
When these legislatures figger out that companies don’t have rights and only have the specific powers granted to them by state law, maybe they’ll start taking care to protect our rights better and stop fretting over entities without rights.
Although those entities pump a lot of money into their campaigns, the politicians need to pay more heed to those with the votes.
