The New York Post has a story talking about all of the things New York City has banned (or tried to) this year.
* Trans-fats.
* Aluminum baseball bats.
* The purchase of tobacco by 18- to 20-year-olds.
* Foie gras.
* Pedicabs in parks.
* New fast-food restaurants (but only in poor neighborhoods).
* Lobbyists from the floor of council chambers.
* Lobbying city agencies after working at the same agency.
* Vehicles in Central and Prospect parks.
* Cell phones in upscale restaurants.
* The sale of pork products made in a processing plant in Tar Heel, N.C., because of a unionization dispute.
* Mail-order pharmaceutical plans.
* Candy-flavored cigarettes.
* Gas-station operators adjusting prices more than once daily.
* Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
* Wal-Mart.
Paging Nurse Bloomberg… paging Nurse Bloomberg to City Hall. So far Twinkies and Ring-Ding’s haven’t been banned yet and the city needs your help!
WHAT?!?!? Where on God’s green Earth can you still buy candy cigarettes???
Quiet, Cam! Don’t give that meathead anymore ideas!!
New York City is burning, and Blomberg is playing what tune?
How can he ban anything else with all the time he spends in other states illegally buying guns?(Consider the Second Amendment notwithstanding for the sake of discussion.)
