Fighting the Nanny State Since 2003

From the Mailbag

A new column is up at Townhall.com. Also, be sure to check out Townhall’s Thank a Soldier Week event, going on now through the end of the year. It’s a fantastic way to say thanks to the men and women who are serving in our armed forces.

    First!!!

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, leftover turkey.

Really, the anthropomorphisms these people perpetrate. A rat is child sort of thing or comparing KFC’s quasi-ersatz sort of chicken to the Holocaust.

    Give me a break…

I do believe that we have rights and responsibilities, and animals have neither.

    – Well it seems in your world animals have lots of responsibilities: Where does your milk come from?? Where does the eggs you eat come from? Where does the meat, beef, pork you eat come from?? Not from thin air!!!

Dude if animals don’t have any responsibility, as u say in your world, please stop drinking milk, eating eggs, and eating beef etc. Start eating yourself, eat your offsprings, and drink human milk!! OK!!

And yes STOP writing such silly articles. And yes if 99% people think that something is right, does not necessarily mean it is!!!!

    KJ…

    Look up anthropomorphism.

Sell your computer, use the money to buy yourself a clue.

I would ask kj how a chicken producing an egg is a responsibility, rather than a normal biological function of a chicken, but that would be expecting him/her/it to produce a coherent, rational thought and place it into words.

Hmmm…KJ and these animal rights activists equating themselves to rats, chickens, pigs, cows, etc… How udderly (pun intended) appropriate. What next? Equating themselves to vegetation? Well…

If KJ’s argument that animals have responsibilities, one would have to come to the conclusion that vegetation have an even greater responsibility - they produce the very same “thin air” that we breathe. Wow, they’d better stop eating vegetables then. They’re taking away the vegetables’ responsibility in keeping ALL of us alive.

    Wai Says:

Oh, by the way, KJ, your grammar and punctuation is atrocious. Did you not get enough animal fat in your diet to increase your grey matter as a child?

    Terry Says:

    Uhh, kj.

If 99% of those that think something is right doesn’t make it right, then I contend that the 1% who believe otherwise wouldn’t be right either.

With your statement and with the statement I just made, you have just been made irrelevant regardless in what you believe.

    Terry Says:

Darn! Should have proofread better. The last sentence should have read: you have just been made irrelevant regardless of what you believe.

KJ, you wrote: “And yes if 99% people think that something is right, does not necessarily mean it is!!!!”

That makes the 1% of you vegetables…er, I mean, vegetarians, EVEN LESS RIGHT because you are the major minority.

So you 1 percenters want to dictate what you think we 99 percenters should do? Then there is something definitely missing from your diet.
