Blanco Clams Up

With the help of Senators, Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco didn’t have to answer any tough questions about her performance in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina while on the Hill yesterday.

If you’re going to grill Mike Brown, grill Blanco as well.

Are you sure that Kathleen Blanco is the Gov?
To me she is nothing but a mere shadow of that man, whats his name?

And BTW- I am on Browns side of this. His comment on being the superhero and saving all of these ppl himself was a good one.

What? No Tom Delay comments? Color me stunned. You must be waiting for the party line to be formed before you post their…err…. YOUR response?

Looks like another one of DU’s finest stopped by to show he is still stuck on stupid. Hey Cid, did you think of that all by yourself, or did Randi Rhodes give you the incentive to make like a squirrel and show us your nuts?

As for Blanco, I notice a pattern here with the Louisiana people: Eddie Compass-I quit, don’t ask me any questions. Gov. Blanco-I’ll tell you what I did during Katrina, but don’t ask me any questions.

I wonder if Cid could tell us why only the Louisiana government couldn’t take care of their constituents, while the local governments in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee seemed to be doing just fine without much help from the feds, even though they suffered as much if not more damage than New Orleans?

    Enlighten us, will you Cid?

    Kevin,

I wonder why you would implore me to defend a position I have never taken? What does that have to do with what I said?

Cid’s what we refer to as a troll. He showed up today in the talkbacks on the show, making all kinds of statements and then (of course) saying “I bet you don’t have the courage to read any of these on the air”.

When I set aside some time for Cid to call and have a spirited discussion… Cid didn’t take me up on the offer.

That’s no skin off my back, but it does make Cid a troll. Bye Cid.

Cid, if you are really that stupid, and apparently you are, let me help you make a lame attempt to formulate your own repsonse without having to e-mail Al franken and ask him what to say.

You came to this site and on a thread that dealt with Gov. Blanco (still with me Cid?) and made comments regarding House Majority Leader Tom Delay. How is anything to do with Tom Delay relevant in a thread about Gov. Blanco? Apprently you are so giddy that a Republican is being attacked by another open-minded, caring democrat you just can’t wait to jump on a bandwagon that is going to hell in a handbasket faster than Bill Clinton’s legacy.

If Cam were of a mind to, and I’m sure he will at some point, he is quite capable of commenting on Tom Delay or any other politician, regardless of party, and make astute comments of his own voilition without having to stand by the party fax machine and wait for the talking points to come thru, like you obviously do Cid.

Now, Cid, what are your thought(s) concerning Gov. Blanco?

Kevin, I think Cid was merely shining light on the fact that Cam has yet to post anything about Tom Delay - the biggest story of the day. Cid couldn’t have posted this comment under a relavent thread, because one does not exist.

It is, I imagine, just an attempt to call Cam out for what he typically does … when there is potential corruption in Republican-town, look the other way.

    Shaun,

Perhaps you should also look at the corruption of the prosecutor. I am even hearing that there is a movie involving this story and that the prosecutor is also involved with that.

It is obvious to anyone who wishes to look that the prosecutor is nothing more than a political whore.

Ah yes, because we know I never go after Republicans. Unless of course I’m criticizing the Republican mayor of Oklahoma City. Or the Republican Senator Tom Coburn. Or FEMA’s Michael Brown.

Of course, I also didn’t write about John Roberts being confirmed, so I must be disappointed about that. And I didn’t write anything about the wildfires in California so obviously I must be cheering on the burning of CA.

The reason I haven’t written about Tom DeLay? I don’t have anything to bring to the table. He’s been indicted, I doubt there’ll be a trial, and I don’t even understand the charges against him.

I don’t have the time to blog that I would like, and when I do have time, I tend to write about the things that catch my eye and my opinion. This has never been a full-service blog, nor will it ever be that. If you’re disappointed, too bad. If you think that makes me a hypocrite, I’ll somehow manage to not let it get me down. Readership keeps going up, so I assume I’m doing something right.

Can’t say we aren’t getting our moneysworth out of George Bush this month. Why just a few weeks ago he was blowing up levees in Louisiana, killing poor black people in the Superdome, and now he’s setting wildfires out in california trying to kill rich white people out there.

Where does he find all that time to spend all that blood for oil money!!!!

Sad too, because Blanco was the Republican campaign ad that wrote itself.
