I cashed in some favors today and went on a tour of the Pentagon. It’s an amazing place. Three and a half times the office space of Empire State Building, spread out over five stories. Much of the building seemed like a museum with displays, paintings, etc. And of course one portion of the building seems more like a church than a military office.
Seeing and being at the place where the Pentagon was struck on 9/11 was odd. It had a completely different feeling than the Murrah Memorial. Maybe it was the fact that the memorial was inside and closed off, rather than open to the elements. Whatever it was, the grief and sorrow seemed more tangible in the Pentagon than in downtown Oklahoma City.
On a brighter note, I got to the place where Donald Rumsfeld plots to take over the world runs the Defense Department. And a wrong turn let me see… actually, I’d better not say anything about that.
It was a great time, and I need to thank Airman 1st Class Steve for showing me around.
Good thing you kept your mouth shut, Cam. Otherwise, they’d have to shoot you!
Just kidding, of course. I wonder where Kennedy and Soros meet when they plot to take over the world……….
